Five middle school students discovered through research that over 2 billion people lack safe water access, with coastal communities particularly vulnerable due to lack of infrastructure and maintenance services.

Motivated by this global challenge, we committed to developing an off-grid, low-maintenance desalination solution that could operate autonomously in harsh coastal environments without skilled technicians.
